We make a joyful noise

Updated: Mar 14, 2019

...most Sundays, because we love to sing at North Parish. Our music director, Jane Kirton is also the choral arts teacher at Sanford High School. Our organist, Pat Hussey fills our sanctuary with the sounds of our treasured Littlefield organ. Together the music we make lifts our spirits, comforts us in times of sorrow and inspires us to celebrate what we believe...that "to everyone born there's a place at the table." (one of our favorite communion hymns)

Our choir is a sweet ensemble as we sing harmoniously and mostly in four parts. Some of us read music, some are just learning. And some can carry a tune by listening to others. Best of all, we enjoy each other and we enjoy making music together. Making music, for all of us, is a spiritual practice and a calling. An added bonus is that we care about each other...supporting each other in times of trouble and celebrating together when there is joy to share.

No audition necessary, just a willing spirit and the will to make a joyful noise with others.
